How long do I get to complete this qualification?
You are allowed 12 months to complete from registration. In addition, your progress can be monitored in OneFile as we will program your start and finish dates. Consequently, if you do not complete within the given time, you can extend on a month by month basis.

- Complying with Statutory Regulations and Organisational Safety Requirements (A/601/5013)
- Using and Interpreting Engineering Data and Documentation (Y/601/5102)

Mechanical – Must cover the following units:
- Firstly, Carrying Out Fault Diagnosis on Mechanical Equipment
- Lastly, Maintaining Mechanical Equipment
Plus two more units from the following:
- Restoring Mechanical Components to Usable Condition by Repair
- Producing Replacement Components for Maintenance Activities
- Carrying Out Preventative Planned Maintenance on Mechanical Equipment
- Carrying Out Condition Monitoring of Plant and Equipment
- Assisting in the Installation of Mechanical Equipment
Electrical – Must cover the following units:
- Firstly, Carrying Out Fault Diagnosis on Electrical Equipment and Circuits
- Secondly, Maintaining Electrical Equipment
- Lastly, Modifying or Rewiring Electrical Circuits

CSCS Card Eligibility
By enrolling on the NVQ Diploma Engineering Maintenance, you can meet one of the requirements to apply for the RED CSCS – TRAINEE card.
