What is the L3 Certificate in Fire Safety Qualification?
The SFJ Awards L3 Certificate in Fire Safety is for learners who work in, or who want to work in Fire Safety roles such as:
- Fire Safety Auditor
This qualification is aimed at those who are new to working in a fire safety role and wish to build their knowledge and gain recognition of their competence. This qualification can be completed by both operational and non-operational staff working in a relevant role.
The qualification gives learners the opportunity to:
-Have existing skills recognised
-Achieve a nationally-recognised Level 3 qualification

Mandatory Units
FSL3 U001 – Plan and gather evidence for the purpose of fire safety regulation in simple premises
FSL3 U002 – Visit simple premises for the purposes of fire safety regulation
FSL3 U003 – Assess risks associated with fire in simple premises
FSL3 U004 – Identify and report hazards and risks associated with fire in simple premises
FSL3 U005 – Confirm measures are in place to protect people from fire in simple premises
FSL3 U006 – Review fire protection systems in simple premises
Entry Requirements
No prior knowledge, understanding, skills or qualifications are required before learners register for this qualification, however, it is likely that they will be seeking work within the Health & Safety sector, or they may already be employed in a cross-sector role of function that involves responsibility for carrying out and managing health and safety duties.
