Business Fire Safety Advisor Apprenticeship (ST0188)
The Business Fire Safety Advisor Apprenticeship is needed in construction and facilities management. Therefore, a Business Fire Safety Advisor works with businesses to help them keep their premises safe from fire by offering advice and education to reduce risk. As such, people in this role also recognise and take appropriate steps when enforcement action may be required.

The key function of a Business Fire Safety Advisor will be to visit simple premises. In essence, this is defined by the sector as small buildings with a simple layout such as small shops, offices or industrial units with non-complex means of escape for the purpose of providing fire safety advice.
Semester LD has a vast experience of dealing with major manufacturers in upskilling their workforce. Intrinsically, this is done through our NVQ, Level 3 and HNC programmes in Engineering, Business, Fire Safety, Security and ICT.

The Apprenticeship:
We will deliver the apprenticeship, at the employer location over a period of up to 2 years. As such, knowledge (Off the Job) will be delivered by distance learning online, and will be available 24/7.
On the job, you will be carrying out the duties of a business fire advisor, supervised by qualified personnel.
Entry Requirements:
You need to be ICT Literate
GCSE’s in English & Maths at Grade C or above

Year 1
– SFJ Level 3 Certificate in Fire Safety (Fire Auditor)
During your apprenticeship will will build up a portfolio of evidence to meet the Skills and Behaviours elements of the standard.
End Point Assessment (EPA)
You will need to pass the following:
-Workplace Observation
-Structured Discussion
Progression
Further training and qualifications could lead to career pathways within Fire and Rescue Services and across UK industry such as Fire Safety Risk Assessor, Fire Safety Inspector, Fire Risk Manager and Fire Engineer.
