ETA Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Installation & Commissioning Engineering
The Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Installation and Commissioning Diploma in Installation & Commissioning Engineering qualification is designed to support those who work in Engineering. If you are looking to complete both pathways, you only need to complete the mandatory units once. You will then need to complete one additional unit for the other pathway.

As such, it provides a structured individualised route. Alongside this, equipping knowledge and skills for those who wish to achieve a qualification in Installation & Commissioning Engineering.
How long do I get to complete the NVQ Diploma in Installation and Commissioning?
You are allowed 12 months to complete from registration. Further to this, your progress can be monitored in OneFile as we will program your start and finish dates. Consequently, if you do not complete within the given time, you can extend on a month by month basis.

Equipment Installation Pathway
You must complete all 4 of the following mandatory units:
- Complying with Statutory Regulations and Organisational Safety Requirements
- Using and Interpreting Engineering Drawings and Documents
- Working Efficiently and Effectively in Engineering
- Handing Over and Confirming Completion of Installation or Commissioning Activities
PLUS any one of the following optional units:
- Installing Mechanical Equipment
- Installing Electrical/Electronic Equipment
- Installing Equipment to Produce an Engineered System
- Installing Instrumentation and Control Equipment
- Installing Fluid Power Equipment
- Installing Process Controller Equipment
- Installing Emergency Electrical Power Generation Equipment
- Installing Environmental Pollution Control Equipment
- Installing Workplace Environmental Control Equipment
- Installing Heating and Ventilation Equipment
- Installing Air Conditioning and Ventilation Equipment
- Installing Compressed Air Equipment
- Installing Waste/Foul Water Distribution Equipment
- Installing Fresh Water Distribution Equipment
- Installing Refrigeration Equipment
Commissioning Pathway

By enrolling on the NVQ Diploma Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering, you can meet one of the requirements to apply for the RED CSCS – TRAINEE card.
