This course provides a comprehensive introduction to on-board diagnostics (OBD) and the SERMI scheme. It is designed to cover key concepts and practical knowledge, including:
- Understanding OBD/EOBD
- Overview of emission control legislation
- Accessing vehicle self-diagnostic systems
- Decoding diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs)
- Exploring OBD2 readiness monitors
- Breaking down standard code composition
- The importance of on-board diagnostics in modern vehicles
- An introduction to the SERMI scheme
At the conclusion of the course, participants will complete a 20-question multiple-choice assessment. A score of 80% or higher is required to pass. Upon successful completion, a CPD certificate will be generated and made available in the “Assessment and Certificate” section. This certificate serves as proof of your achievement in mastering the course material and passing the assessment.
The course is structured to be completed in approximately 4 hours.
